PENNSYLVANIA State Requirements
Pre-Licensing Hours

- Course Subject Requirements -None
- Carryover Requirements -A maximum of 24 hrs may be carried over to the next reporting period.
- Course Repetition -Credit will not be given for courses taken more than once in each biennial reporting period.
Exemptions
- Individuals licensed continuously since 12/31/70, unless an additional line of authority was added after that date.
- Individuals who first obtained licenses without examination under Section 609 (c) of the Fraternal Benefit Societies Code and whose appointments are limited to fraternal benefit societies.
- Individuals exempted by the commissioner due to hardship or good cause such as disability or medical condition.
- Individuals licensed only for restricted fraternal.
- Individuals appointed as resident agents solely to countersign policies and not engaging in the solicitation or sale of insurance.
